So yes, I apologize it has been forever since I published the last post in this series, but I feel like it's time. It doesn't hurt that my newest book released just next month 😉😅.
#5- Writing a Review
Okay, so technically this wouldn't count because obviously you have probably bought our book at this point, but in my defense, a review is free 😊.
You may ask ~ Why are reviews vital? What can one little review do?
In Proverbs 27:2, we find the principle: "Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips."
While our books are near and dear to our hearts, as much as I might try to get that across to others, most will label us as biased 🫢😅. That's where you as our readers can help. People often don't want to dive into a book they know nothing about (and with good reason these days 😳). Your review is often the final determining factor for readers in choosing their next read. Reviews are more important and can have a greater impact than you realize. Your review can help both save them from the harmful books and introduce them instead to wholesome, uplifting fiction. Now, one does have to be careful because some people do tend to like to find things to criticize about everything, but that's not to say we don't hope you will be honest with your review. Honest reviews help us know if we can improve next time, but please remember to do it in a thoughtful manner.
Secondly, it takes less time than you might think it will. Your review doesn't have to be more than a few sentences. Five, Ten, Fifteen minutes max. Are we too busy to do something good? Something kind in this world? I hope not. Building up, encouraging, someone is the best work we can do in this world.
But the best and most important fact about your review is that it can inspire us to keep going for months to come.
To see some-one take the time to leave a kind review makes our day, our week, our year. It makes us want to continue to keep writing. To write even when the going gets tough. To push through those hard times. To write that next book that you as our readers might, Lord-willing, enjoy. So, please don't forget to leave a review if you enjoy our books. Thank you to those who have done so. We appreciate it and are so grateful 🤗.
But also, thank you no matter how you support us. Never forget to remember that your little bit of kindness always goes a long way 💖.
God Bless!
Sincerely,
Ellie
