Slip into the emerald waters of the Louisiana bayou in my flatboat and drift along the sunlight water with me.
Though many years have passed and still no reunion in sight to see Catherine and Louise still holding steady and true is such a testament to their faith. I think, it's because they keep committing their fears unto the Lord to receive His peace in return. I am delighted that Andrew became a pastor as well.
It startles me to realize the similarities between Charles and his true niece Nicole. How they both are searching for meaning and purpose. My heart hurt for them, and I hope they grow stronger in the knowledge that our purpose and potential and peace only comes from our Creator.
I think your heart will leap as mine as you learn as well that a reunion is imminent.

There was so many things I loved about this amazing sequel.
At first, I was slightly disappointed that The Sacred Shore didn't jump right into where The Meeting Place left off, but this was even better, and I can't wait for the reunion of both families in the next book!
Also, It's always like I'm there right beside them, these books are so real and life-like. I could identify with Nicole's and Charles's heart searching so well. We all have points in life where we are searching, and have to realize as they did the our source of strength and peace is only found in God. We only have peace by relinquishing our fears and lives to Him. God knows all our secrets after all like this book said.
That Anne's Doctor was Welsh was another point I loved as two of my own main male characters have been Welsh.
It's also great that these books are an accurate depiction of a fairly unexplored part of history.
So with that all said- I rate this book 5 out of 5 ⭐'s , and I'm seriously looking forward to book 3.
Until the next adventure, mon amis.
God Bless!
Ellie
