*Disclaimer ~ Not all the books I am giving a trial mean that I can recommend them. More often than not, they are clean, but if you want to be on the safe side...

Books, I truly recommend will eventually appear on my blog as book adventures or be stated (in the heading read, reading, not the will be reading) specifically on this post.

Hello Friends!

Grey clouds rumble in the distance and 🌧️ patters on my windows tonight. Makes me want to cozy up all over again with the books I've been reading the past few weeks ☺️. My reads have been royally fun, you might say!

Read- Lilac by Madisyn Carlin (Recommend 100% for ages 16+)

Another retelling of course. You guys know I love fairytales now, right😂 (I know I told you...) ? I love all the nods to the two fairytales- the Plain Princess and Red Riding Hood. Madisyn definitely has done her writing magic again because I have a new favorite book. Everything I've read by her so far has been amazing. Goat hordes, the most adorable puppy, and loads of blueberry muffins helped me to fall in love with this sweet, sweet story. That and the cover 😆... isn't it so gorgeous! I will admit that the ending was a little bittersweet, but I promise you don't need to worry. Just read it😐. I can't wait for you to meet Amiry, who reminds me of Elizabeth Bennet, and the Lilac of the show- Ivelisse. The central theme of finding and founding our identities in Christ is also so powerful and will have a lasting impact in my life. I'm so glad I bought a physical copy because I'm going to be rereading it many times over just for that alone.

Reading- The Crown of Kuros by Ed Dunlop (Recommend 100% for ages 8+)

I love books that serve as not only good story but also have deep lessons that one can take to heart and apply to their life. This is such a book and because of that this is actually my second time reading it. Though a stolen crown, a search, and a face down with a dragon all lend themselves to this extraordinary tale, I find The Crown of Kuros's reminder to examine my heart especially potent. Even little things can sneak in and affect us if we don't guard them carefully, especially in this world that clamors for control and wants distract us from our true mission. We must be fully surrendered and allow God to reign supreme if we wish to defeat the darkness around us. All it takes is one heart at a time!

Will be Reading- The Birthright by Janette Oke & T. Davis Bunn

Okay, yes I have put off reading the third book, but not because I didn't want to. Please! I've been on vacation😅. I can't wait to see what happens next in Nicole's journey- maybe the handsome captain from The Sacred Shore will cross paths we her again🤞🏻😏. I'm sure it won't disappoint.

Well that's all for now,

Cheerio, my friends!

God Bless!

Ellie
