*Disclaimer ~ Not all the books I am giving a trial mean that I can recommend them. More often than not, they are clean, but if you want to be on the safe side...

Books, I truly recommend will eventually appear here (on my blog) as book adventures.

Ahoy there, Shipmates 🫡!

Curious again, were you to as to what I have been reading?

Well, wonder no longer, my reading ship's been having a golden hour over here! I didn't plan it this way, but I think it's funny that all my covers for this month somehow included a gold element in them, don't you think🪙😁?

Read- Sheer Off by A.L.O.E (Recommend 100%)

Another lovely book republished by Lamplighter Ministries. As always at first, the start is often slower when I begin one of their books, but once I get sucked in 🙂‍↕️- their books are more powerful page-turners than any others I have ever read. I gleaned so many lessons from this phenomenal book. Ned Franks' perseverance and this belief that with God that no one is beyond hope were exactly what I needed to take to heart. And all the sailing analogies 👏🏻, it gave very fresh, thought-provoking insights for the Christian life which I don't think I'l forget anytime soon.

Reading- The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis

If it was possible to have a third favorite... After The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe, and The Horse & His Boy, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader has definite held the top three spot for a long time. I'm actually only two chapters away from finishing this reread. I loved revisiting this book. I've always loved that C.S. Lewis returned to the time of King Caspian for one, and two, sea adventures are so exhilarating- the quest for the seven lords, exploring uncharted waters, the fight with the sea serpent, unexplored islands💚💙! Lord Bern is definitely one of my favorite characters as well, and I love Eustace's redemptive arc! Needless to say, I'm thoroughly enjoying my reread!

Will be Reading- The Sacred Shore by Janette Oke & T Davis Bunn

I have very high hopes for The Sacred Shore after reading the first book in The Song of Acadia Series- The Meeting Place (My Review). I've been waiting far too long to begin this sequel, but the library took its sweet time in getting it in. You don't know how hard I want to skip to the end of this book 😅 because I can't wait to see what happens next in Catherine's & Louise's lives. I really hope they're somehow reunited, but since there are three more books to the series... it will be a mystery till the last page. Anyway, thankfully, The Sacred Shore finally arrived for pickup at my local library, and I will be beginning it ASAP!

Well, That's the end of my reading log! What's yours? Drop a comment here or on my Insta Post!

Until next time, my fellow sailors!

God Bless!

Ellie
